Sick
We have had a lot of sickness the past six months, and really the whole year. We have had: Pneumonia Malaria Skin infections Asthma Upper respiratory infections Colds Stomach bugs Strep throat UTIs Allergies Most of those things are not unusual, especially for a family with young kids. The Team
When we were brand new here we heard that there was deep spiritual need on the south coast of our island. We have never been to that area but we started praying and asked the four students at our theological college from that area to come to our house and chat. We wanted to learn, so we asked them about their backgrounds, the tribes they represent, and what they wanted to do in the future. Homeschooling
One of the challenges of life for us is the education of our children. We have two options. We can homeschool our kids or send them to local schools, none of which are in English. Judah and now Elly have both attended local schools for preschool to help them learn the local language and build friendships. Once they get to first grade with the need to read and write, there aren’t really any quality schools here (and no options that are in English), and so we homeschool. For Ka
